Rugged Extended Life Coolant

Rugged Extended Life Coolant was developed to provide this superior protection. Rugged Extended Life Coolant is recommended for use in all cars, light trucks, and heavy duty vehicles, both foreign and domestic. It protects all cooling system metals including aluminum from corrosion and rust. Rugged Extended Life Coolant prevents hard water deposits on heads and blocks, as well as preventing excessive foaming. It will not harm hoses, gaskets, pump packing, or automobile finishes. Rugged Extended Life Coolant contains nitrite, therefore, the addition of Supplemental Coolant Additive (SCA) is not necessary.

Rugged Extended Life Coolant is compatible with General Motors DEXCOOL and Caterpillar Long Life Organic Acid Coolants. Also meets or exceeds ASTM D3306 and ASTM D4340 (aluminum corrosion test). It is recommended for use where a GM 6038M (Low Silicate) or a GM 6277M (DEXCOOL) is specified. This nitrite containing formula does not require a treatment of SCA for heavy-duty applications. This coolant may be operated up to 100,000 miles in an automobile. 6000 hours in heavy-duty diesel applications is acceptable with an OAT extended service interval filter or with the addition of OAT Coolant fortifier at one half the service life.
